ABUNDANCE WORKSHOP
The global and local market, as it overlaps with the construction of the built environment, is predicated on value systems based fundamentally on the model of supply and demand.
Abundance Workshop is a collective endeavor which uses this as a point of entry into rethinking the way in which the project of architecture and the construction of the built environment relates to systems of value and society.

EXTRA-LOCAL
Extra-local is a workshop exploring the act of making, materials, construction and politics in the context of rural Spain and the post-recession global economy.
The workshop focuses on the potentials of an experimental building material derived from its local context. By combining existing disparate industries, an extra-local material can instigate the re-imagining of the future of development and local economies of construction.
The workshop is a dialogue between local and traditional building techniques, contemporary architecture, and experts in digital restoration—to intervene, experiment and speculate on the potentials of a local material process, within the climate of mass production, late capitalism and the anthropogenic environment.
